[GreenKeys] Why has the '#' symbol been called a number sign, pound sign, and now 'hashtag'?

Basically, #5 mean "number five."

Well, the problem is, lack of peer review. Anyone with a keyboard now
can claim to be an expert.
And there's no shortage of people that will buy into what ever is being
spread around as "The truth."
