I have the diagram for said TU from the RTTY Handbook of long ago as well as several others from the same publication.  I also still have a TU using the filters made by ham Grant Story that were very popular in the 60s through 80s.  They plugged into octal sockets.  That TU uses a 6Y6 to key the loop with a pot in the screen supply to set loop current.  It worked great for MARS traffic even though I had an ST-6 and an NS-1A.  Just more fun watching the neons flicker and the loop mils meter bounce, while the "tuning" meter jiggled slightly about the zero center of its range..
