[GreenKeys] John Nagel's USB <-> 60 mA loop board

SMD is easier for me to do than the through hole devices for small jobs. Depending on how complicated the board is there are several methods of doing it. You can solder in each component by hand , or easier if not too complicated or large is to get some of the solder paste that comes in a syringe and put a dab on each pad, then the component, and wave the hot air gun over it. If you have something like a toaster oven for small boards, you can put the board in it and just start he timer and it will heat up and cool down for you.

Look on youtube for some examples.

If you're doing a big enough run and and are allowing people to make orders, I'd probably be interested in at least one, maybe two or three if the price is right. Are you planning to hand assemble just 20 of them, or will this be a manufactured run that would be easier (and cheaper) to increase production size? I ask because if you're planning to make only 20, I wouldn't want to take some of your limited stash from you, nor would I want you to have to take a lot of extra time hand assembling more yourself. Of course, to me SMD assembly sounds very time consuming and difficult, but maybe it's a breeze to people who have practiced and who have the right equipment.
