The AP Model 15 machines which I saw in radio stations in Georgia and North Carolina did have the AP placard on each printer. Same for the printers in the newspaper offices.

Comment...in my youth I never saw any of these placards on wire service
Teletype machines. Of course you knew what the service was because on
the dateline of each item there would be (AP) or (UPI). I speculate
that these placards came into existence because TV stations started
showing their wire rooms, and the various wire services wanted to be sure
their presence was visible in the picture.
