Never send out a URL without checking it first to see if it is still
working!!

My example above works, but the Nnational Weather Service changed their
website since HeavyMetal 2.5 was written and the URLs for weather
reports available from the "Weather" dropdown menu no longer work.
(Actually some do work, but the weather forecasts are a few years old!)

NWS is providing forecasts by zones now, not cities.  To get a text
forecast for a specific area, go to
ftp://tgftp.nws.noaa.gov/data/forecasts/zone/
click on your state, then click on one of the text files for a forecast.
Unfortunately, they are not listed by location, but they come in quickly
and you just have to try some to find the area yu are interested in.
(Maybe there is an index somewhere?)

Once you find a FTP site you like, copy it into the "Heavymetal.mnu"
file in the form of:
"-GENERIC_FTP,
name,ftp://tgftp.nws.noaa.gov/data/forecasts/zone/ny/nyz014.txt"
"name" is the descriptive title you want to show up in the Custom
menu

Have fun,

Duncan,
