Per previous comment, I have at least two of those Deskfax machines... I think both are unmodified due to my giving up the idea of fax over ham radio... and of course they are not particularly suitable for WEFAX... a burglar took off with 5 cases of the special fax paper (image burned by stylus) leaving a trail all the way to his residence... Were those machines popular in the 60s?
