Perhaps Kilobaud November June/July 1978?

Some interesting articles for converting regular IBM Selectric typewriters

I knew George Young, he lived near Fresno when I worked at the Byte Shop of
Fresno in 1977. I still have a couple of his books (Kilobaud Klassroom)
and a few gadgets that he gave me. I don't have a copy of that book listed
on eBay though. It would be nice to have a copy, but not at that price....

I did interface a Selectric to an Imsai computer back then. I wrote the
program to translate to the tilt & rotate code, and used a lot of software
timing loops just like Robert Nickels describes in a later post. I seem to
recall that there was an article in Popular Electronics on interfacing the
Selectric, about that time too. I think that was the design I used for the
hardware, drivers & such.

Just in case anyone else is interesting I was told on cctalk that

Interfacing the Dura 1041 is very well covered in the book 'THE SELECTRIC
INTERFACE A Hands-on Approach' by George Young.
There are whole chapters on the Dura 1041 printer, encoding the Dura
eyboard, interfacting the punch, tape reader and more.

Steve.
