Eric,

Welcome to the group.

I have some hammers and I can send you one.

Give me your address and I will get one out Monday.

Hello, I am starting restoration of a 33. Is there anyone with some rubbers/vinyl in the US?

Thank you!

I am also needing to replace the rubber on the capstan of a digitronics high speed paper tape reader from the late 60s. The tolerance is ridiculously precise to get good behaviour both ID and OD. If anyone has experience with this please reach out, thanks!

Thanks Rob.

How much including P&P?

Probably need to order before you leave to avoid VAT and customs.

Hello Tomas,

The rubbers for the hammer are available, some new ones were made a few years ago by a member of this list. I have a supply of them in the UK for distribution in Europe. How many do you need?

Regards

Rob

Subject: [GreenKeys] Restoring a Teletype 33 ASR

I am just in the beginning to restore a TTY 33ASR.

Just started to assemble the smashed plastic cover, some pieces ar issing though, but with polystyrene and glass-fibre, it should be possiblle to sort that out.

Now, one thing that I just noticed, is the missing rubber on the hammer.

Anyone that have a suggestion on where to obtain one, or how to manufacture one?

Best regards
