Well, yes in a perfect world, however my cover was smashed in pieces during transport, so I have to repair it with Fiberglass, polystyrene resin and quite a lot of filler, so Yes, it nedds painting.

I wouldnt paint the plastic cover.  I dont think it would stick well.  

 

Remember the 32/33 were inexpensive machines and the runs of plastic covers likely varied quite a little but were close enuf for the inspectors.  

 

You see it on older keyboards.  Some keys fade and get chalky and some in the same kybd are still good.  Again, I think its just different runs of plastic. 

 

Just guessing of course.
