Writing about Ascot race course in the UK an article in the Post Office
Magazine for 1937 says:

"At the 1928 meeting the instruments in use were Teletypes (Morkrum lA),
'Quads', Wheatstones and Keyboard Perforators. The staff required was
two Assistant Superintendents, two Overseers and 45 Telegraphists. In
1929 four circuits were equipped with Teleprinters, and by 1931
Teleprinters were in use on all the circuits."

It confirms that the Post Office used Teletype equipment in those early
days, but doesn't answer Martin Loach's earlier question about which
model was designated Post Office No2. Later, of course they went over
entirely to Creed machines.

Cheers,
Sam
