That is interesting.   My first Teletype machine, a Model 15, obtained 
from Michigan Bell many years ago, had fractions.  I heard something 
about stock prices, but never really knew what it had been used for.

It also had 75 speed gears (I think, something faster than 60 anyways). 
Fortunately, a local ham was active on RTTY and helped me figure out the 
reason that I could not copy anything off the air.  I changed the gears 
and got it on the air
