My thought was they would have been used mostly in about a 50 mile
radius of Brooklyn. I was amazed at how many publishing and recoding
companies there were for the Yiddish speaking community, as well as at
least two broadcast stations. All of those businesses and organizations
would need convenient and quick communications.
