Boy! That would be annoying when trying to print picture tapes. 
Especially those using overstrike on a second pass.

ISTR that I was advised to go CR CR LF LTRS LTRS LTRS at the end of each 
line so as to be sure the carriage had returned before starting to type 
the next line.
