[GreenKeys] Sad

Nick
I suspect that there are more 'motorcycle people' out there than 'Teletype people'. So many more brands and distinct
'vintages' and groups and organized clubs who 'specialize' in a particular timeframe or brand or 'subtype' of device.
Granted, there were lots of variations of Teletypes, but not nearly the 'collector base' as that of motorcycle collectors.
I would like to see some production company come up with a program called, "Teletype Pickers" and pay visits all
over the country to people like the late Pete Lancashire, and others who had a large amount of working and non-working
and various vintages of machinery.
One of the reasons that such a program does not exist is that no one ever thought of it. Another reason is that even if it
was considered, in some boardroom, some simple research might indicate a fairly small viewer base.
But, wouldn't it be an interesting, if short lived show or series? I suspect a few million dollars might get the thing off
the ground and pay for a few episodes. I AM NOT PASSING THE HAT HERE! Just dreaming a bit. 80 years is a
bit too late to consider such a venture! I would definitely be a loyal viewer, though!
73 to all and I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving.

Guys c’mon. Cut ‘em some slack.
We see this all the time. 99.9999% of people have absolutely no knowledge of old technology. They watch TV. They have seen American Pickers pay $6000 for a broken rusty old motorcycle block. They might have seen a corroded ball of Enigma machine parts sell for thousands. So they are wondering if they have finally hit the lottery. They are asking for a price they would be ecstatic to get.
Only the Mafia and the Government can force you to pay for something you don’t want.
If the rusty pile was near me, I’d go look at it. I’ve been amazed before.
Cheers
