[GreenKeys] ASR-43 line-feed problem

Dear Greenkeyers

My ASR-43 has developed a fault in which the
line-feed sometimes happens, sometimes doesn't.
When it doesn't, the platen starts its rotation
but instead of completing the movement it reverts
back to its original position so that overall
the paper hasn't moved.

I've checked and the platen is following the
drivebelt that moves it (rather than slipping
against it) and the drivebelt itself is following
the motor that moves it (rather than slipping against
it), so the motor itself seems to be failing to make
its rotation.

Is anyone here able to diagnose this fault without much
further investigation? The machine is used in a teaching
lab at my university and we're in the middle of the
semester so we don't have much time to do extensive
diagnostics. Any thoughts on this most welcome.
