did you mean to say SPACE condition?

in mark condition, current is flowing and 
there will be a big voltage drop across the 
limit resistor and only the   
I squared * R(of selector magnet coil) voltage
will  be across the selector magnet. 

on space condition (open circuit) there will 
be no voltage drop across the limit resistor, 
and so the full p/s voltage will be across 
the circuit.
