This is a message for those of you into both teleprinters and military vehicles !
My Cold War 1964 Unimog 404 HF teleprinter station isup for sale.
This is a unique opportunity to own a near complete (95%)quality vehicle and associated teleprinter radio system built up over 18 years of ownership.
To the best of my knowledge, It is now one of only two orthree in existence in a complete and operational condition (including thecorrect early, communications / generator trailer).
The radio system is a combination of Rohde and Schwarz and Siemens equipments from the late 1950`s, offering AM, CW and RTTY capability.
Included with the package are all the original (andcomplete) boxes of spare parts for the communications and teleprinterequipment, all electronic and mechanical manuals (mix of original and copy),basic accessories carried with the service vehicles and, a number of sparesaccumulated over the 18-years to keep the vehicle running
A very practical vehicle, the all-weather radio cabin surprisingly comfortableinside and, provides lots of desk space for operating a radio station and/orusing radio equipment additional to that already mounted. Consequently, I haveused it as my amateur radio `shack` every 1 or 2 months throughout the year ona nearby farm where I practice field deployments of the original communicationsequipment. It is also great fordisplaying incoming teleprinter messages when at MV shows !
Whilst certainly not a camper, with a little squeeze, thereis enough room for two adults to bed-down on the floor - which is particularlyuseful in in the winter !
It is difficult to convey the extent andquality of the vehicle in a small advert and I have therefore uploaded to my`drop-box` account lots more images, the original German Army radio fit manual and adetailed list of what comes with the vehicle - which will hopefully clarify theextent of the vehicle and accessories on offer. If you wish to view this information, please advise me your email address, I can then send `invite` you to view.
Given the uniqueness of the package, I will not split.
Asking 21,000 Euro
Cheers,
Steve M0MOG
