Yeah, all the later machines ran the sync and governed motors at the
same speed.  MITE did one better by having an idler gear in the gear
train, so they could change speeds by changing only one gear.

Someone asked if they ever made a Model 31 with a sync motor, and I
happened to run across a document where R&D was working on it.  Had
a problem that a sync motor the size of the motor in the 31 was not
powerful enough to run the machine.
