[GreenKeys] Autostart Frequency

It's nice to see HF RTTY activity! I've had several great QSOs.

Bill, KE3BK, suggested we use 7.086 MHz and 14.086 MHz LSB with mark
frequency of 2.125 kHz for autostart. I've heard many people up 1 kHz from
there.

Some of us (like me) are using SSB transceivers with AFSK generators, so
the LSB frequency makes sense (assuming we are all using the same tones -
I remember 2125 and 2975 from 50 years ago). But others are using direct
FSK transceivers, and the mark frequency is more useful.

So, if we want to stay with Bill's suggestion, we have:

SSB Transceiver: 7.086 MHz or 14.086 MHz, LSB, 2.125 kHz mark, 2.295 kHz
space.

FSK Transceiver: 7.083875 MHz or 14.083875 MHz mark, 7.083705 MHz or
14.083705 space.

Because tone frequencies are not on an even kHz, 100 Hz, or even 10 Hz,
either the LSB or the mark frequency will require 5 Hz resolution.

Should we stay with the above listed frequencies? I think they are good as
any and, if we agree, will add them to my RTTY page at
https://w6iwi.org/rtty/ , and they can also be more widely circulated.

By the way, I've just added an MUF graph to https://w6iwi.org .

THANKS!

Harold
