[GreenKeys] To SMD or not to SMD?

I’m starting to wire up a stripped 28ASR cabinet. No LESU, cables, etc.
I need to make new cables with connectors for Printer, Keyboard, and TD.
I’ve got a LESU chassis with AC switch/fuse module. I also have an SMD
module sitting on the shelf. Should I Install it, or just put the bare
selector magnets in the signal loop?
Pro-Con comments welcomed.
