Kano Microil works fine. Its a light oil. One technique used
when rebuilding typwriters was to use a mixture of light oil and
kerosene. However, typewriters need very little lubrication,
mainly the escapement and the bearings on the carriage. Do not
oil the segment AKA type basket.
You can find pretty good typewriter repair manuals at:
https://site.xavier.edu/polt/typewriters/tw-manuals.html

Scroll down to find the repair manuals.
The military manual is mostly a reprint of the Ames manuals.
