Hello all,

Have been lurking and reading for quite a while.  Picked up a couple of 
teletypes last year from Paul and finally getting around to working on 
them.   Have been able to get all of the gunk out of the mechanical s,  
(28ASR) and have everything lubed.  Trying to find diagrams and info on 
the units, a lot of info to sort thru on the web pages.  If anyone can 
point me in the right direction to what might pertain to the items I 
have would appreciate it.

28ASR

     The type/perf is working , but get nothing from the typing unit, 
also the type unit was missing one of the hold down screws and locating 
pins, have machined a locating pin and came up with a hold down screw of 
the right thread, but the type unit seems to have uneven mounting legs 
as it rocks on 3 of them and I dont want to tighten it down and put 
anything in a bind. Have not mounted the trans/dist back in the base as 
of yet.


The LESU is a WU Tel co 9797-B

Keyboard unit is LAK3ARJ  SN 26949

Type unit   model # is scratched out, not readable, possible LT2CRXXA8 
or 48,  sn 81935 has a repair tag 10/2/78 level 3

Trans/Dist   LXD4 sn 78103

TD Base LCXB8   sn 42342

Type Perf  LTPE 1 ARS     SN 22244


  The model 15 I picked up needs a good cleaning, hooked it up to a TU 
and connected to IITY  and was receiving and copy but no CR, dont know 
why I stopped on that one and delved into the ASR ( partly due to  I 
remember by Dad on a KSR all the time at work) .
