Thanks Richard,

I can see  your AFSK scenario being a problem using standard RTTY 170 
split, but perhaps at 850 or higher, the mark would be easier to ignore, 
especially with a 500hz CW filter.  The brain is a master at blocking 
nearby QRM....grey matter DSP!

Not sure what your capabilities are at the station  or your bandwidth 
limitations.
