I wish now that I had made a point to get some,
but back then there were no iphones with cameras !!
And I was the single supervising engineer with about
15 technicians working on the install, so I wasn't
thinking much about photos ... AND (I didn't describe
it in my previous post) but it was a LONG weekend ...

I went to work Friday morning at the usual time; at
1700 the techs and I headed for the Pan Am building
and I was there NON-STOP until about 1400 on Sunday,
at which time my interest was to get home and sleep !
(As an aside, this turned out to be a really major change
in my work attitude ... on my expense report, I turned
in for three meals on Saturday ... since I worked the
full 24 hours straight thru. The VP of ITT rejected
it, saying they did not authorize three meal payments
in one day. After that, I decided in such a circumstance
I would just send the techs home at 2100 and come back
around 0900 and if things didn't get finished then too
bad ... ) Again, I sure wish I had made a point of getting
some nifty photos.

I did a quick google search to see if maybe there was
something about the tty comm center, but all I found was
a documentary about what took over and replaced my
giant mechanical switching center!

Hard for M28 R/Ts to compete with that ...
