 Chuck,
 First thing I would do is get the cover off and have a good look inside before attemptingto plug it up..Mine had a mouse nest inside.Last thing you want to do is risk bending or breaking something by running it with a foreign objectin the works.Second thing is try moving all the parts by hand to see if anything is stuck or frozen.Only after that would I plug it in.Running a machine with a stuck or frozen part could have disastrous results too.
