[GreenKeys] 28KSR top falling down?

[W2HX]

Is there an adjustment to keep the top up? I can open it, and it just wants to fall down. I saw a hex-head screw on each side that seems to run through a thick spring, but I could not tighten (clockwise) it anymore (see attached). Maybe I need to loosen it? Or should I be looking somewhere else? What is the trick?
