Couldn't remember the name when I posted before. I use Baco
Ribbons. She sells very good ribbons and sells bulk ribbons.
Baco Ribbon. Call Charlene at 314-835-9300
She doesn't have a web presence.
Not sure of the best type of ribbon, probably Nylon, they
are as sharp as silk and mechanically long lasting. For plain
typewriters I use cotton because they are darker than any other
but don't wear as well.
I have heard but never tried resuscitating dried out ribbons
with WD-40. Might work on ribbons that are dried out but not worn
out. IMO its better to get some bulk ribbon and respool.
