"Back in the day" (like the '60s and '70s) when Van W2DLT
and I (then W2BVE) were selling surplus Model 19 sets, and
I had a small Toyota pickup truck I used to put a pallet in
the bed of the pickup (just barely fit!) and then assemble
the M-19 table and equipment and strap everything down
with the plastic strapping bands ... then take it over to a
trucking dock (like Roadway) and they were not too happy to
have to bring the forklift down from the loading dock to the
parking lot level to take the pallet out of the pickup, but
they would do it ... AND then they would accept it for
C O D shipping !! I doubt one could do that today, and the
freight would probably be a week's wages.
