[GreenKeys] Seeking Assistance Identifying Teletype

Reid,

Yes, It is a Teletype Corp. Model 26.  It was designed as a lower cost, 
lower duty cycle, version of the M15, but Teletype Corp. never built 
enough to see a savings.

It is a good beginner's model as it is not as complex as the M15. The 
main drawback is that the platen moves (like a typewriter), which makes 
paper handling from a roll more difficult.  The wooden table may have a 
place to hold the paper roll, which will help.

As for price, it depends how badly you want it and what condition it is 
in.  With the table and in perfect condition (clean, no rust or mouse 
nests), it is probably worth no more than $50-100.

Also how far away is it? these units are heavy and difficult to ship safely.

If you are not in a hurry for a machine, keep looking and you may find 
something better (Teletype M15 or Kleinschmidt TT-4 or TT-98) for 
$25-50, or even free for the taking.
