[GreenKeys] Kleinschmidt TT-4C/TG not printing

Kevin,
Have you tried adjusting the motor back to the "little fast" speed when it was printing? If it was printing fairly well at that speed was it while trying to copy off of itty? Local typing with motor at wrong speed might work fine, but copying itty would be a different. And the "magnets lock up when the loop is energized" doesn't seem logical with just a change in motor speed.
If you are receiving itty and the motor is off, do the magnets actuate? In other words respond to the incoming signal and make a sort of chattering sound?
Do you know if the magnet assembly has been removed from the machine at any time? If so, there are adjustments to get them aligned properly when putting them back on. You might want to check those adjustments. I have seen where the magnets "lock up" if those adjusts were not right, but that should be true regardless of motor speed.
Just shooting in the dark here trying to understand exactly what is happening.

Subject: [GreenKeys] Kleinschmidt TT-4C/TG not printing
I think I've exhausted my limited thoughts on this so I'll refer this to anyone who really knows what they are doing.
I've been trying to get a TT-4C/TG running. I had it typing pretty well
until I adjusted the motor speed and now I can't get it to replicate how
it was typing. (I know: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.) I have a
tuning fork and adjusted the motor according to manual instructions and
it is running pretty steady. It had been running a little fast when the
machine was printing. I can't get it to print ITTY. It won't even print
garbage. The magnets lock up when the loop is energized. I tried
adjusting the range and armature settings according to the manual but
that hasn't helped. It will type a few characters correctly and then
type garbage. I've been trying to type RY's with one hand while
adjusting the Range setting with the other. Not very easy. I am
suspecting something needs to be adjusted with the armature because
sometimes it will completely stop typing, won't do CR/LF, etc. If I
turn off the power and the loop it will still remain in a "locked" state
until I manually push down on the armature. It was very dry when I
first got it and I've been lubing it profusely.
Thanks in advance for any help.
