Well AUTODIN came after Plan 55, and there were two generations
of AUTODIN computers.
In one of my computers I have a little USB thing about the size of a
pencil eraser that is a Wi-Fi adapter. Just recently I was reading
an article about an Ethernet pioneer (Metcalfe?) where he said the
original Ethernet adapter, presumably for the Xerox Alto computer,
was too big to fit on one PC board.
