Andrew,

The old program "heavymetal.exe" http://www.buzbee.net/heavymetal/   
would go out to the NWS website and bring back weather information for 
various cities. You could then output it in 5 or 8 bit format at various 
speeds via a serial port.  The program will also generate test signals 
and TTY art.

You need a computer with a serial port and finding the NWS code for your 
city takes a little research, but it produces a nice daily weather 
report.  We run it each day we are open at the Antique Wireless Museum.

here at Greenkeys after y ou have downloaded the program for details on 
how to find your weather code.
