 Yeah, you woulda thought they'd be more worried about other things given that Pearl Harbor had occurred 10 months prior...  
Man, can you imagine how hot an noisy it was in that room?

Wow, those large format negatives had really good resolution.  I can actually rad the page standing up from the middle foreground AP machine:

Wow, that seems bit dated, but still, to be able to read it on such a photo is rather fun.
