Thank you all for responding! I will be helping my son shortly with his kids so I don't
have too much time to check all your concerns.
Understand that this unit came from The Patterson Armory 20 odd years ago, Jack
got me in there and I went back a few more times.  If I remember this was an empty 
case that I loaded up with what ever I thought it needed at the time. I picked up parts 
to support this and a mod 15 through the next century. 
More observation, the lock keyboard key bounces up and down, you push unlock 
and it stays unlocked for a while, then relocks (bouncing). RYRYRY works fine on 
receive. Haven’t tried send yet. 
When you push a key it always repeats the same 
character with each push, some keys are only a space. The code bars under the 
signal gen the one most to the front  has a different spring, seems about the similar 
tension.
