Please don't pitch it.  I also have a partial roll, and when I get the U of Iowa BRPE punch working on 1 inch tape, I hope to duplicate some of our PDP-8 stuff onto mylar so that we can use mylar for tapes that are worth routine use.

Note, my frational roll is aluminized on one side, with mylar that is yellow enough that the tape looks gold from the other side.  No paper involved. (I gather that there's a second kind of mylar tape that's some kind of mylar-paper laminate.  I've never seen that kind.)
