[Lowfer] Loopers are legal!

I was surprised to see all these worms on my desk.
I came to the undeniable (to me) conclusion that the loops are legal after I
had a pleasant exchange of emails on the subject with someone who I won't
identify. Let's just say he honestly does not feel that these loops are
kosher.
He made two points that were important to both of us, for our respective
views:
A> The 50 foot length applies to the distance that the electrons can flow
and
2> Even though electrons flow through it, the wire in the antenna matching
coil is not counted as part of the antenna, it is part of the amplifier.
After we agreed to disagree I went out and sat on my back stoop. About that
time synapses in my brain that have not fired since the "Great Roman Party"
of '70 suddenly kicked in. As I sat on my stoop, my loop antenna suddenly
morphed into a single turn inductor connected to my amplifier. Rule 2 was
applied: The 200 feet I had running through my trees DID NOT COUNT since it
was part of the tuning circuit for the (non-existent) real antenna. I
lowered the loop, connected a clip lead to the center of the upper portion,
raised the antenna and tweaked the cap on the single-turn inductor in my
matching network.
So, now I have the shortest, most effective, Lowfer vertical on record: 6
states on an 18" wire.
73,
Mike
