Hey Bill,

No I never did try a loop.

The thought actually never came to mind.  Of course this was about 7 or 8
years ago before the external tank circuit became all the rage.

I used a 10'  piece of 2"  aluminum pipe and a 20'   5 spoke top hat
And about 5000 feet of radials made from scrap cable tv coax.

That was fun to roll up every summer!!!!
