This is BS is getting too deep for me. Time to sign off!

You neglected to mention that laying next to the 5ft peice of wire on the 
bench was a wire cut to resonate at 1700k...... and attached to a sky hook. 
Actually you could have coupled into any number of  possible unintended 
antennas including "that giant antenna formed by household wiring".
