Hey Dex,
Wasn't that the freq we both tried last winter when the noise was a bit
high??? I remember hearing your voice for the first time last winter using
the Flattop.

That was 1983 kc where I met Walt, W3WI, after our initial unscheduled
QSO. There was some activity during the week but the official meeting
time was Sunday evening if I recall correctly. Brice, W9PNE, being
centrally located in Illinois, was the unofficial net control. I talked
with ABC Todd in SC many times on the same freq. I often monitor that
frequency during the winter and usually have a QSO or two with TH Carl,
W2AZQ. We picked up more activity when we moved to the internet but we
also lost several Lowfer stalwarts.
