No Les, grounding the beacons will not allow us to "see real DX" - Only 
wasted energy. <ha ha>

PS: I did some 1700k loop simulation on the bench last night with a signal 
generator, a powdered iron core, a 1000pf mica cap, and a 3" diam coil of 
#12 Litz.  Looks like I have a lot to learn about this Lowfer-times-10 
frequency! May turn out that my way of coupling to the loop will not work up 
there. Well....... tonight's another night.
