Yah, I'll certainly give the capacitor coupling approach a good test
tonight. Looks like the best way to do this, at least according to the ARRL
Antenna Book, is to split the capacitor, giving a balanced feed to the loop.
The use of a small coupling link is another popular way to handle this. One
difference in the Medfer application, from typical Ham applications,
however, is the higher load resistance seen by the output of the final: 180
ohms for 0.1w, if a 12 volt Vcc is used. P = Vcc sq/(8xRL) The link may
not provide this high of a impedance transformation.
