I noticed anytime the temp went above 32F the vertical's current took a
major dive and when the leaves came out, it was a joke compared to my loop.
In the dead of last winter (-18F), my flattop and loop performed comparable
when seen from a skywave.

He made the transition in March, and while the loop has been nicely
copyable, I noticed the difference at the time. But you are right, his
efficiency started dropping off when the sap started running, not when the
leaves came out.
