Seems reasonable. Were you thinking about a simple series connection of a
themistor to a heater? I can see how that would yeild an oscillating
temperature. I was first thinking about a contol loop design using and an OP
amp to drive the heater. That could be designed to be stable because of
available loop gain, and phase shifting, to overcome the time lag in the
thermistor.
