I wrapped my radials around a piece of copper water pipe and soldered
them and ran one wire from
that to the 160 L ground common. This is a kinda quick N dirty method as
within a couple of years
the solder will become bad and the general idea is to screw them down to
a buss/pipe or whatever
or better still would be to braze or silversolder them to the common tie
point. If you have them mechanically
mounted to a termination by wrapping them then the brazing .. whatever
will go fast,,
When I get a round to it
I have around 60 pinned to the ground and although they are short do help
at on 160
I put up an all band vertical and did add separate radials to it and
then common to the rest. The antenna
tuned up with the BW as the manual indicated after I added specific
radials for that antenna
this surprised me as I figured the existing ones would be enough
always learn something new
