The only good thing about that kind of cold air is it makes the flattop in
the trees actually work as well as the loop in the trees. Thankfully it is
only 4 months of that cold stuff and back to livable temps and lousy flattop
performance.

Dazzling us with that arcane meteorological jargon, eh? :-)

Glad for the correction.  We had scores of +18 nights down HERE last winter
and many even colder (sucky enough from my standpoint) so after your first
post I began to doubt the horrific tales I'd heard of the frozen northland.
Almost thought I might try to find me a DX paradise to retire to.  But -18
changes things.  I guess I'll stay right here after all.
