Thanks Jay,

It looks like the lattest mod to my exciter has worsened the freq stability 
because I've seen almost a .2 Hz downward drift in 12 hrs. Didn't use to see 
this much in a year. I changed the freq divider following the osc from a 
Cmos to an LS a couple of months ago to make it more resilient to 
lightening. Had to lower the source-to-gnd resistor of the FET to get enough 
current. Think I'll change it back since the improved grounding outside 
makes this mod much less important.

I'll see if I can give you an accurate heading for the N/S loop later today. 
Looking down on it from above, it's just a bit clockwise from true N/S.
