This is a "shot in the dark" query. I recently acquired some
command stuff, (forever trying to find a complete set) and one
of the transmitters, a BC-696-A, made by Colonial Radio Corp
is not complete.
It has been almost "gutted" and only has the PA stage with the
two 1625s and rear socket with a 6L6, and two empty sockets that have
wiring to them.
It has stamp on outside "SERVICED, H.F. Beane, Newark
Airport, NJ". On inside bottom plate it says "MODIFIED by
H.F. Beane, Custom Communications, Newark Airport".
Anyone got any ideas who this was and may have any insight on the
modifications they made? Trying to reverse engineer it, it appears to be
made into an amplifier only, however am not sure.
