Take a DC resistance reading.  Will only deviate from AC impedance @ 400
hz by a small percent

Probably best, repair cone's tears w. dabs of rubber cement & cover
the hole with stock from some discarded organ-donor speaker.  That
look of the original speaker's huge magnet will be hard to duplicate
& the sound after repair should be fine considering the set's
simple audio circuitry

Did you notice the pains they took to isolate the chassis from the case?>
