I am looking for an Antenna Coupler CU-872 (any variant) or similar coupler
of the period. Any known source?

Interesting photos and also maybe some of the worst taken photos i have ever
seen. Looks like altho the gear is in LA it maybe had storage under wetter
conditions. On the modulator/ power supply ( i assume ) for the BC-127, it
looks like maybe a waterline and also a footrprint on the front panel. Now
the Japanese markings: that is really interesting and i wonder what story
this gear has to tell. If i had to guess, not knowing more,i'd say captured
from US in Philippines, where obsolete US gear was farmed out, especially to
Philippine Rangers; then recaptured???
I wonder what accounts for the checkerboard pattern across some photos?

A colleague and I were disusing NAVY/USMC radio jeeps used after WWII but
before Korea.
Specifically Navy jeep models CVD-10182-D and CVD-10466 appear on the cover
of the undated thick Supplement to the four jeep Maintenance Manuals
(TM9-803,
TM9-1803A, TM9-1830B and TM9-1925B), which Maintenance Manual Supplement
includes both the 12 and 24 volt version of Power Supply Kit MX-736/MR.
They both use Vehicular Modification Kit MX-735/MR with the Auto-Lite
waterproof ignition system per the Parts Catalog for MX-735/MR dated 1
April 1947. Both CVD numbers appear on the cover of that parts catalog,
so the Auto Lite waterproofed deep fording jeep is common to both CVD
numbers.
I know the Navy TCS with the 211330 power supply was used with the 24v radio
jeeps.
All of the AN/MRC-5A, 6A, 7A and 8A radio sets used 12v in the CVD-10182-D.
The question is, is there any documentation on what other Navy or USMC
radios
would use 24v in a radio jeep during the time period between 1945 and
early1950?

Mark Tombleson
