Having set up a few public displays, I can add only a few
things to the good advice you've received.

There was a time I would have said: "If children are going
to handle it, don't include anything you don't want broken,"
but the current generation of "adults" includes a big percentage
who are large spoiled children; they can be just as thoughtless,
disrespectful and destructive as any teenager.
If it will break your heart to see it mashed, marred or
smeared with unidentifiable goop from someone's nasty hands,
don't put it out for public mauling.
Maybe get one of those little record-playback devices that
allows them to just push a button and hear simulated
WWII communications, or any number of other things
you can think of, but I sincerely advise against putting
your prized boatanchors at the tender mercies of the masses.
The twenty nice people who are careful with your BA
will not make up for the one jackass
who breaks your band switch.
